NODACHI INTERVIEWS EDWARD WITTEN

Nodachi shot stills and interview material with Institute of Physics Gold Medal winner Edward Witten. Edward is an American theoretical physicist with a main focus on mathematical physics. He is also a professor at the Institute for Advanced Study, and is a leading researcher in superstring theory, supersymmetric quantum field theories and other areas of mathematical physics. He is regarded by many of his peers as one of the greatest living physicists, and is currently the only physicist to have received the highest honor in mathematics, the Fields Medal.

As part of the Journey to CERN project that we are currently undertaking, we met with Edward at the Mela White House hotel in Great Portland Street London, to pick his brains on Super String Theory. The day before he had received the Isaac Newton Gold Medal of The Institute of Physics.

Interviewer: Prof Akram Khan
Interviewee: Edward Witten

Keep following our journey to CERN!

NODACHI GOES TO CERN

“It’s an exciting time for physics” says Professor Akram Khan of Brunel University. After being awarded a grant to go all over the world and investigate the progress of leading research in Particle Physics, Akram came to Nodachi to document his findings in the form of video journals, interviews and a documentary website. Nodachi is calling the Project The Journey to Cern. So far, we have visited Daresbury Science and Innovation Centre where we interviewed many of the scientists who run the facility and who research there. We came across the A.L.I.C.E experiment, a mini particle accelerator much like the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. The work being done by the STFC and the people at the Daresbury Laboratory will surely influence us in the coming years.

Nodachi is very proud to be following the journey of particle physics home to CERN.

NODACHI SHOOTS NEW COMMERCIAL FOR LEBARA MOBILE

We’ve just finished shooting a new commercial for Lebara Mobile’s new offer. The brief was to create an ad to serve the Indian, Pakistani and African community with one commercial. So naturally we shot it all twice, and switched out our cast to represet the target audience.

We shot on RED in four locations and had a cast of 12. The ad was produced in 3 weeks and the shoot spread over 2 days in March, offlined in Final Cut Pro and graded on Quantel EQ. The commercial is being broadcast on a variety of ethnic channels on cable and satellite, and on Google’s YouTube during the India Premier Legue which Lebara Mobile are sponsoring.

Heres the result:
